NASA leader Raila Odinga has said he was shocked that president-elect did not turm up to receive him at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Raila, who was returning from a US trip, was welcomed by hundreds of his supporters.
While addressing a crowd at Upper Hill, the opposition leader said he was 'so angry' over the way the government trated his return.
"Niko ha hasira sana. Mimi nilikuwa natarajia Uhuru atakuja kunilaki kule uwanja wa ndege nikitua. Badala yake huyu kijana anaambia maafisa wa polisi wanipige na teardas. (I am very angry because I was expecting Uhuru will come to receive me at the airport, instead, he has ordered that police teargasses me)," Raila said.
Amid cheers from his supporters, Raila said that he has 'brought good news' from Americans who are 'praying for Kenyans'.
The opposition leader was flanked by several leaders among them Musalia Mudavadi, James Orengo, Bonny Khalwale and Johnston Muthama.
Orengo said the 'world saw how the government treated Baba'.
Ealier, police clashed with NASA supporters as the security team cordoned off Uhuru Park where the Opposition had fingered for a meeting.
