As many are aware, NTV is losing its fine talent to a competitor station in the biggest exodus to have ever occurred in a media house.
The curse caught up with the Aga Khan-owed media house after they fired Denis Galava, who was Managing Editor for Special Projects after he wrote a critique of President Uhuru Kenyatta that rubbed state house the wrong way.
Since the exit of Galava, the house caught a bad disease that saw best talents leave one after the other.
Anyway, that all the fine talent has left NTV is not news anymore.
The news is the pain of those left behind. After Nimrod Taabu hanged his boots at NTV to join Citizen TV, he left his co-anchor Jane Ngoiri nursing heartbreak.
Ngoiri has penned a sweet message for Nimrod and we have it here:
What an emotional day it has been. I can feel the void in my heart. I still have tears in my eyes...errr balancing tears is no joke. I never thought a day would come to say Goodbye. Nimrod Taabu has being more than a colleague, a Best Friend.
When I joined NTV in 2012, I was starstruck by this guy who I watched and always wanted to do News with...and when I met him...we just clicked. Our chemistry on TV attracted eyeballs, we connected with viewers and it has always been fun working with NT. Nimrod Taabu; May the Almighty God Bless you in this New Chapter of your Life.
