Mombasa county governor Hassan Joho has said that he will be Kenya's next president just after Raila Odinga who is set to ascend to power come next year's presidential elections.
While speaking at a Sunday prayer rally presided by Raila Odinga in Kisumu, Joho was quoted by local dailies publicly expressing that he will lead the country in 2022. Joho further reiterated that the Raila would massively win in the forthcoming elections to become the country's fifth commander-in-chief.
Those telling us to wait until 2032 to ascend to power are dreaming. Raila Odinga will lead the country in 2017 and Hassan Joho will succeed him come 2022," read the speech by Joho.
He further asserted that the Monday demonstrations by the opposition were justified and urged the opposition supporters to turn up in large numbers to defend the will of the people.
Speaking at the same venue, Raila is on record saying IEBC reforms are a must-do thing is the next elections are to be free and fair.
As this emerges, Jubilee leaders are on record saying the coalition will reign in the country's politics till 2032 when Ruto will hand power to the next unspecified leader.
Regarding the IEBC row, President Kenyatta and his deputy hold on to the vie that reforms will only be handled in parliament and nothing else.
