Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has expressed confidence he will be elected for a second term.
Namwamba said the development record in his constituency will be a key reason for the people of Budalangi to re-elect him.
“We have done a fantastic job across the board. Talk about infrastructure, talk about big projects like tarmacking of roads,” he said.
“We have been able to fix the perennial floods. People no longer see the floods in homes because we have reduced the risk of flooding. We have improved education, we have expanded agriculture including irrigated agriculture, we have improved security,” he added.
The Labour party leader also expressed confidence that Budalangi voters would support president Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.
“I also believe that the people of Budalangi have supported my move to Labour party and I also believe they will support Labour party in our choice for presidential candidate,” he noted.
He was speaking at parliament buildings, Wednesday.
