Mutua said his next landing point will be State House in the next general elections.

He made the remarks outside the Machakos High Court after Judge Aggrey Muchelule ruled his contested August 8, 2018 victory had been upheld.

“I will be the Kenya’s fifth President come 2022, Kenyans need leadership of young people since they are “chap chap”. They need “maendeleo chap chap. By God’s grace and will, I will vie and win the presidential race,” Mutua said.

Wavinya Ndeti had filed the petition and was seeking the nullification of Mutua’s win on the ground that his election was not free and fair.

“The petition lacks merit, therefore, this court has found out that Aflred Nganga Mutua was validly elected as the Governor of Machakos County,” Judge Muchelule ruled.

Ndeti, however, claimed the Jubilee administration was behind Mutua’s victory and that the government was forcing Mutua on the people of Machakos County.

She said it was a battle between Jubilee and NASA and not between Mutua and herself.

Ndeti , the petitioner has been directed to pay the Sh10 million to cater for damages.

This is a big blow to her after she lost both the contest and petition.

Mutua said his Maendeleo Chap Chap Party is anchored on real development, integrity and the will of Kenyans.

Mutua parted ways with Kalonzo Musyoka of National Super Alliance (NASA) to form his own party known as Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC).

He looks forward to battling it out with the deputy President William Ruto in 2022 Presidential race.
