He said he had purchased a piece of land next to the children's home and construction of hostels has started.

"We have purchased quarter an acre piece of land at Langas Estate a few meters from the one we are using and construction is underway, we expect to move in come May," he said.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday at the children's home, Bishop Kurui reiterated his commitment to ensure that the children's home meets the required standards for it to be registered.

"I know the home had challenges due to lack of funds since I was solely sponsoring its activities, but I will ensure the school is registered, have qualified staff and offer security to the children," he said.

He said the director of children gave them a month to comply with the law pertaining children's homes or face closure.

This comes after the Department of Children Director Julius Yator Wednesday stormed the children's home accompanied with armed police officers, with a mission to close the school, but their efforts were futile after the children refused to be evacuated.
