Kibunguchy said that the move was aimed at ensuring that CDF projects funded are completed in time unlike in the past where some people used to divert the money into their own pockets.

The MP affirmed that no project will be started and implemented in his constituency without his personal attention to ensure equal and fair utilisation of public funds.

“I will ensure that loopholes that were being used to siphon public funds meant for community projects in the past does not occur like in the past,” said Kibunguchy.

He said that although the idea had made him unpopular among a section of his friends he will not stop in his efforts to fight graft in CDF funded projects.

Kibunguchy said he will work hard to end the culture of corruption that had become the norm in CDF projects leading to losing of tax payer’s money.

“A section of my friends have accused me of being too mean on CDF money and that I have refused to give them space to benefit in one way or another,” said Kibunguchy.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday in Eldoret town, the MP assured his constituents that he will continue to follow up on all projects in his area.

Kibunguchy said that he was ready to lose friends for blocking their attempts from tipping their hands in public coffer in the area.
