Uasin Gishu governor has announced that he will be defending his gubernatorial seat come 2017 general election.

Jackson Mandago said he is determined to win the seat since his development record speaks for itself. 

"I will be defending my seat in the next general election and I invite my competitors to compete on ideas and avoid engaging in abusive politics," he said. 

Speaking in his office on Monday, Mandago said he does not fear his competitors, since in politics, you either win or lose and he will accept the outcome of the election.
