Kalonzo on Monday said that if given chance by Cord to contest for the presidential seat in the August 8 general election, he will initiate reforms that will end graft and tribalism.

Speaking during voter sensitization rally in Machakos town on Monday, Kalonzo alleged that corruption and tribalism is ailing the country.

The Wiper leader claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee government has failed to tame corruption and tribalism.

“I have a strategy that will end corruption and tribalism if I get a chance to be president in the August 8 polls,” he said begging Cord co-principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula to back his presidential bid

Kalonzo said that it is time Raila backed his presidential bid.

The Wiper leader claimed that he has sacrificed for Raila before and that it is his (Raila's) time to return the favour.

Kalonzo urged Machakos locals to register as voters saying it is the only way they will help the opposition win the August 8 elections.

The Wiper leader also cautioned locals against being divided by selfish leaders who are only interested in votes.
