Budalang'i lawmaker Ababu Namwamba has said that he will be happy if he defeats ODM rivals in 2017 polls.
The Labour Party of Kenya leader said that his party will be competing with Cord and Jubilee on the same level.
"My Third force term was meant to give Kenyans a third option apart from Jubilee and Cord in 2017 polls. LPK is a party we want to position as a substitute with Cord and Jubilee," Ababu is quoted by the Standard.
The Budalangi legislator noted that in politics, people are motivated by different reasons citing that his decision to quit ODM was meant for change.
He said that LPK party is the option in 2017 polls since the party will field candidates in every single electoral position.
"LPK has officially started campaigns in Kisii county to win Nyacheki ward by-election. Our candidate Ezekiel Osoro is likely to clinch the seat," Ababu said.
