The governor accused the DP of insulting him, declaring he will face him head on.

“I had given him time and space to tour the region and campaign but since he has chosen to insult me in various forums in the county including in the church, then I will go bumper to bumper with him when he tours the region,” Ruto said.

Governor Ruto in July launched his Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party.

Last month, Deputy President William Ruto called CCM a village political outfit.

"Isaac Ruto is a good leader. But his political move to form a village party has worsened his political career. CCM party does not represent the people of Bomet County but Isaac Ruto's village," said DP Ruto.
