Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has said that his government is on track in terms of fulfilling the pledges he made to the electorate during the 2013 General election.
Speaking in Naivasha during the burial of eight people who died in a lorry accident on Wednesday, the Governor said that he is keen to ensure every promise he made to the Nakuru people is fulfilled.
Mbugua said that his government has initiated various programmes meant to boost the living standards of the locals.
“I want to assure Nakuru residents that I will fulfill every promise I made to them during the 2013 elections,” said the governor.
Governor Mbugua said that his government will not discriminate against anyone as it seeks to spur economic development.
The county boss urged residents to support his government saying that some politicians are not happy with the achievement the county has made and want to discredit it.
Mbugua said that he is committed to serving the people and that no one will distract him from working.
The county boss on the same note asked youths in Naivasha to spearhead peace campaigns and engage in activities that will add value to their lives.
He said time has come for young people to be independent and take part in activities that will promote their wellbeing.
The governor asked young people to utilise the development funds being provided by the national and the county government and use it to start business.
He said that it is through such initiatives that unemployment will reduce and development realised in the society
