President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured that he will hand over power if defeated in August 8 polls.

He accused the opposition of peddling lies that he will cling to power illegally.

Uhuru said he is ready to accept presidential results after the August polls adding that he is committed to peaceful, free, fair and credible elections.

“Our democratic system envisages an incident-free, fair, transparent and credible electoral process where the will of Kenyans is exercised,” said the President a statement by State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu.

Kenyatta urged NASA presidential candidate should avoid remarks which may trigger the country into violence.

This comes after Raila on Tuesday called a press conference and claimed that President Kenyatta is mobilizing the military to use it in retaining power
