Kiambu County Deputy Governor James Nyoro has dismissed claims that he is set to quit his job.
Nyoro on Wednesday speaking in Kiambu town said information being spread on social media is false and misleading because he is in good terms with Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
"Idle social media users are spreading propaganda that I will quit my position. I wish to clarify that there is no bad blood between me and governor Waititu. In fact we have a good working relationship and we are focused on service delivery,” said Nyoro.
He urged residents to avoid rumour mongers who are after causing political wars in the region.
"Rumour mongers are making efforts to create political wars between us. I am urging residents to avoid the haters because we are committed to serve the residents of Kiambu,” stated Nyoro.
Nyoro added they have a debt to Kiambu electorates which they will have to pay back.
"The people of Kiambu elected us to serve them. No one will take the mandate given to us. I will be the deputy governor until 2022,” he said.
