Former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar has vowed to not cast his vote in favor of NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the forthcoming presidential polls.
Speaking on JKL, the former Wiper party Secretary General further rubbished possibilities of voting for President Uhuru Kenyatta either maintaining that none of the two is appropriate for the position. He said he prefers Third Way Alliance's Ekuru Aukot.
''I will vote for neither Raila nor Uhuru.I would rather wait for the court's verdict on the petition filed by Aukot because what Kenya needs now is a fresh ideological type of leadership and not the usual tribal one,'' said the former NASA running mate Kalonzo Musyoka close ally.
Omar who lost in his bid to clinch the Mombasa gubernatorial post in the August 8 polls succumbing to the incumbent Hassan Joho further maintained that all is not lost expressing confidence of unseating Joho before the 2022 polls.
''I don't regret vying for Mombasa governor and I am going to win the position before 2022.There will be a by-election for the position within a year and I will take it this time round,'' said Omar who has since cried foul alleging that the race with marred with cases of cheating.
