ODM party leader Raila Odinga who was unveiled as NASA flag bearer on April 27 at Uhuru Park has said that the agreement between him and the four principal will only hold water on one condition.
Odinga was speaking on Thursday in an exclusive interview on Citizen TV.
Reliable sources within the NASA coalition have previously reported that an agreement was fingered by the five principals that Odinga will run for one term.
In 2022 either Kalonzo Musyoka(Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi(ANC), Moses Wetangula(Ford-Kenya), or Isaac Ruto (CCM) will fly the NASA ticket, so neither Odinga or any ODM politicians will be accorded the privilege.
However, while on the one on one with Citizen's Hussein Mohamed, Odinga said the 5 year old agreement will only come to pass if he wins the August 8, polls.
"But if the coalition does not win the August elections, the agreement will not hold water," said Raila.
The sentiments by Raila could as well mean that if he is defeated, he may bid for the presidency for the fifth time in 2017 or even sponsor an ODM candidate for the seat.
He, however dispelled fears that NASA may hit a dead end leading to its fall.
"Even if two members walk out, the coalition will remain intact," he said.
