Deputy President William Ruto has been assured of support from the Abagusii community in 2022 for his presidential bid.
Former CIC chair Charles Nyachae said on Friday that he will urge the Gusii community to vote for Jubilee administration again after the last term of president Uhuru.
He said that Ruto has been his long time personal friend and he is ready to help him clinch the top seat in the country.
"I respect him as my Deputy President, we shall work together and I am not speaking as an individual but as Omogusii community," said Nyachae.
He was speaking during a fund drive presided by DP Ruto at St Joseph Secondary Mabwaita in Sotik.
On the other hand, Ruto said that Jubilee is the only party that unites Kenyans regardless of the tribe. Moreover, he warned residents against being misled by the opposition.
"Leaders from Western are joining Jubilee, it is an indication that they are satisfied with our work. So who are you to be duped into moving out of government?" said Ruto.
