Kisii County Women Representative Mary Otara has expressed confidence that she will retain the seat without opposition.
Otara defected from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party recently for Jubilee, citing frustrations within the Orange party.
Speaking at Suneka PAG, Otara said her opponents were gray on the responsbilities endowed on Women Representatives.
“I am sure Kisii county residents are satisfied with my leadership. For this therefore, I will win the coming elections with over 100,000 votes," she said.
"This seat was relatively new and it took us time to set regulations. Most of my opponents are relatively new on the same. I am confident that I will retain the seat," she said.
She is set to face ODM nominated senator Janet Ong'era, who is believed to be the reason why she defected.
