Speaking during a rally in Makueni county on Wednesday, the president promised to vanquish Odinga's political career saying it is time he exited the political stage."I will sort that man out,and I will sort him out for good.I will retire him politically because it is time he left," he said.In the 2013 polls the president beat Mr Odinga with over 600,000 votes even as Mr Odinga cried foul that the polls were not free and fair. However a late resurgence by the Nasa presidential candidate threatens to render Uhuru a one-term president even as opinion polls predict a neck and neck contest. The 2013 cast has remained largely the same with Uhuru retaining his running mate William Ruto while Mr Odinga apart from his two key allies Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula has also brought on board Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bomet governor Isaac Ruto.Uhuru on the other hand has also benefited greatly following a mass exodus of key opposition figures into his side notably Kwale governor Salim Mvurya,Kisii senator Chris Obure,Marsabit governor Ukur Yattani,Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka among others.President Uhuru Kenyatta and his chief rival Raila Odinga. He has vowed to bring to an end Odinga's political career come August 8. Photo /twitter.com.
