Thika legislator Alice Ng’ang’a has vowed to support JAP candidate in the Kabete by-election Ferdinand Waititu in the race for Kiambu gubernatorial race in 2017.
Ng’ang’a said that the people of Kiambu have suffered a lot in the hands of the current leaders, whom according to her have no future plans, saying it is now time for change as Kiambu requires a reliable leader like Waititu.
The legislator said that the recent chaos that had been experienced in most parts of the county where residents were protesting over high taxes imposed on them by the county government is a clear indication that the residents are in need of better leaders.
She was speaking in Munyu, where she disbursed Sh10 million worth of green houses on Tuesday, a week after she gave out 10 green houses to a group of women in the area.
The lawmaker has called on residents to ensure they vote for Waititu come 2017, as he is the only person who can deliver and be accountable for public funds.
She said that she will be campaigning for Waititu come 2017, adding that Waititu can be a better candidate whose work record is known.
“I have worked for you and no one is taking my seat away. I will only ask you for your votes and leave to campaign for my brother as I want him to get in and channel the public funds to you,” said Ng’ang’a.
