Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has vowed to deny Jubilee Party 'breathing' space in South Rift and beyond, reports the Daily Nation.
Rutto, who has however denied reports linking with opposition outfit NASA, said he will work with like minded parties to rescue Kenyans from the Jubilee administration.
He was speaking on Tuesday at Emurua Dikir where he was hosted by area MP Yohanna Ng'eno and Narok west counterpart Patrick Ntutu.
"We welcome Nasa because it is their democratic right to campaign anywhere in the country. South Rift is not a political preserve for some outfits which lack respect," he said.
Rutto further said: "We will ensure that we suffocate Jubilee in Bomet and Narok counties. They have shown clearly that they do not have value for us."
But on Thursday, Rutto, who is set to host Nasa team on Saturday, denied claims that he was planning to join the opposition outfit.
He formed Chama Cha Mashinani when he fell out with Jubilee top leadership on matters devolution.
