Kiambu gubernatorial aspirant James Nyoro has promised to transform the county within 100 days if elected governor in 2017.

Speaking at PCEA Nyathuma church in Kabete on Sunday, Nyoro said he would initiate major reforms within the 100 days.

The agriculture consultant promised to address unemployment, improve business, infrastructure and boost agriculture within three months of his election.

Nyoro also promised to address security, empower women, youths and persons living with disabilities if elected.

The aspirant who will be seeking to run on a Jubilee Party ticket said that Kiambu locals have been denied development by the current regime.

He stated that unemployment among young people has increased resulting in increased crime rate and other social evils.

The aspirant asked locals to have confidence in him saying that he is keen to change local’s lives.

Nyoro said that the county has huge resources that can be used to promote the living standards of the people.

He dismissed claims in some media that he has opted out of the Kiambu gubernatorial race.

“I am still in the race and I will not quit as being claimed by some people,” he added.

Nyoro lost to incumbent William Kabogo in the 2017 poll.

The aspirant says that he has revised his strategy adding that he is ready to send Kabogo packing in 2017.

The race for Kiambu gubernatorial seat is gaining momentum.

Two weeks ago real estate tycoon David Gakuyo declared his bid for the seat. Gakuyo who will also be seeking JP ticket promised to be a servant of the people if elected.

On Saturday, Governor Kabogo said that he is not afraid of competitors eyeing to unseat him.

Kabogo exuded confident that locals will support his re-election in 2017.

Governor Kabogo has been conducting meet the people tour of the county t consolidate support ahead of 2017 polls.

Other candidates who have declared interest to unseat Kabogo are Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu, Ruiru based business woman Njoki Gathendu and Gakuru Kanyanja. Both aspirants are seeking to run on Jubilee Party.
