Addressing Ruiru Town residents on Tuesday, Gathogo said that she has no political or personal differences with Kabogo and that her aim is to work with him closely for the sake of development. The Ruiru legislator said that development for the people should come first and not politicians' selfish interests.

“My support for Kabogo as our governor is intact. He is our leader and we all must work with him if we want to see Kiambu move forward in terms of socio-economic development,” she said.

Gathogo urged those opposing the Governor to consider their stand and put the interests of Kiambu people first.

The MP added that Kiambu will not achieve its development agenda if leaders are divided. She urged area leaders to exercise humility and patience saying that they are the virtues of good leadership.

At the same time, she has supported the county government’s plan to purchase vehicles for use by ward administrators. The MP says that purchase will improve service delivery.

The county government plans to purchase 42 vehicles, a move that has seen sharp criticism from a section of leaders who have accused Governor Kabogo of lacking priority skills.
