Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong’i has said that he has no problem working with Kisii County Governor James Ongwae.
He said Ongwae who was elected on an ODM party ticket is free to tour the constituency to initiate development projects.
“I was elected on a Jubilee ticket but that does not hinder me from working with ODM leaders in Kisii County. I take this opportunity to welcome Governor James Ongwae, his Deputy Joash Maangi to the constituency to initiate projects that will improve lifestyles of our people,” he said.
He added that it is not the time for party politics because the country finished elections last year.
“I am challenging politicians to shun party politics and focus on developing the country to improves lives of the people,” said Tong’i.
The MP said throughout his tenure he will involve constituents to give projects which should be given a top priority to be initiated.
“CDF funds come from the people through taxes. I will engage my people to give projects to be initiated in the constituency using the CDF funds,” he added.
He was speaking at St Peters Kerera secondary school on Monday.
