Wiper party aspirant for Garissa Township legislative slot Farah Maalim has warned that he will never allow the regional results to be manipulated by the Elections and Boundaries Commission as it happened in 2013.
While directly citing Duale's influence in the incoming elections, Maalim hinted that the incumbent was planning to rig the August elections given the stiff competition in the position.
In a social media statement, the opposition die hard disclosed that the incumbent Duale played a role in fronting a list of returning Officers and presiding officers for Garissa township constituency to IEBC in readiness for the coming voting exercise.
"Aden Duale forwarded a list of constituency returning and presiding officers for the Garissa township to IEBC. They are the same officers who rigged him in the contentious 2013 elections. I will never allow it to happen this time," issued Maalim.
Maalim's sentiments come at a time when the opposition says they will snub the elections if the Jubilee government show tell tale signs that the exercise shall not be free and fair to all aspirants. This has further compelled the opposition NASA to devise systems for parallel tallying across the counties to curb any form of results rigging.
