Mandera Governor Ali Roba has faulted county MCAs for failing to approve a list of ten executive nominees.Roba, who was elected on a Jubilee party ticket on August 8 polls, accused the EFP party MCAs for being behind the rejection. He vowed to take back the rejected nominees to the assembly for vetting and approval. "I will forward the list back again to the assembly. EFP MCAs should back the list for the county leadership to move on," he said.Roba asked the EFP members to stop political animosity and concentrate on service delivery to the people. He challenged the opponents to understand that elections are over to accept and move on."I am ready for a constructive engagement with EFP leadership and not continuation of negotiated democracy. There is need to protect pure democratic environment," he said. He noted that the MCAs lack knowledge of county government laws on appointments and asked the assembly speakers to ensure better training of members on the same.
