Muendo, who is also the MCA for Kinanie Ward in Mavoko sub county said majority representation in the assembly, followed the due procedure in ousting Ngunga as the majority leader.

Addressing the press at the Machakos Golf Club inMachakos town on Wednesday afternoon after hosting lunch for dozens of MCAs who backed him for the senior position, Muendo said Ngunga does not have a strong case to reverse what had already been passed.

“Let him go to court. I will not even obey any summons because his removal was a straight forward matter. Even if a fresh procedure was started, nothing will change,” Muendo said.

He pledged to work with his colleagues in the assembly to effectively drive the oversight role.

“The people of Machakos can now expect leadership which takes into account their interests in accordance with the law,” he added.

Yesterday, Ngunga threatened to challenge his ouster in court, saying it was maliciously and unprocedurally executed.
