IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has dismissed claims he plans to resign before the October 26 repeat election.Chebukati also said the IEBC is in full conformity with the law and is ready to deliver free, fair and credible elections.He, however, cautioned the presidential candidates Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee Party and Raila Odinga of NASA to stop meddling in the commissions efforts towards delivering to Kenyans.Addressing the press at the Bomas of Kenya Wednesday just hours after the resignation of IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe, Chebukati said this was the last time he is warning parties and candidates to abide by the rules or he takes action as the ‘referee.’“Today I am giving a yellow card to all the players from both political divides, I will not let things go out of my hand under my tenure, be warned,” said chebukati.Chebukati said he was in many occasions outvoted whenever he introduced changes that would ensure the commission delivers credible election because the commission is much divided to serve political interest something he said is triggered by the political leaders.Chebukati extended an olive branch to both Jubilee and NASA leaders for a dialogue to quell the political temperatures in the country.“Our leaders have become move violent even as Kenyans cry for peace, they have refused to put their interest aside and serve Kenyans, I will not be party of this,” he added.Chebukati maintained he will do his best but will never accept to be part of a scam as it happened in the August 8 presidential elections.He said the technical and logistical arrangements were on course.On the resignation of Commissioner Akombe, he said the commission will miss her brilliance and wished her well.
