Speaking during an exclusive interview on Kameme FM on Monday, Sonko said Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has been issuing orders to him on how to run city affairs.

The governor alleged that Kibicho has identified a top Jubilee Party politician whom he is demanding that must be appointed as deputy governor to replace Polycarp Igathe who resigned a few months ago.

"Am telling Karanja Kibicho that a PS is a very small person to issue orders and threats to me. I only take orders from two people; the President and his deputy," he said.

Sonko, however, did not disclose the name of the proposed deputy governor.

The county boss further said that Kibicho and three other top civil servants have been all out to sabotage his administration, claiming they had all been opposed to his candidature.

"Kibicho and his cartel tried to block me from vying as governor. They tried to frustrate my efforts to obtain a certificate of good conduct but 'shetani akashindwa'," the governor added.
