Garissa gubernatorial hopeful Ali Korane has assured Township residents that he will harshly deal with corruption if elected the next county boss.
Speaking in Garissa Town where he made a stopover to address the public, Korane declared that his administration will be free from corruption, and that he would devise open administrative systems where public is consulted on their major priorities regarding on their needs and wishes.
Korane also said that he believed that a greater percent of Garissa County public dockets is riddled with outright corruption, where almost half of county resources looted by those holding offices.
Hopeful Korane disclosed that the rampant corruption currently facing the county government was deliberate, a fact that he attributed to alleged pooling of county resources instead of distributing them to respective county department to ease service delivery.
He further faulted the present administration, saying the executive makes decisions basing on its needs that are not in line with the demands of the helpless electorate.
