National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga does not care about development, former Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo has said.Speaking during a Jubilee tour in Lamu County on Tuesday, Gathogo asked women to keep off the ODM Party leader.The former MP took a swipe at the opposition leader, saying she would not have him as her boyfriend due to his character.“Someone has proved more than once that he doesn’t care about development. That person is Raila Odinga. I call him ‘Mr I don’t want’. I wouldn’t have him as my boyfriend because his character suggests he can’t satisfy me. Fellow women, stay away from him,” said Gathogo, as quoted by The Star. According to the daily, Gathogo likened dating Raila to planting a tree in the desert.“It will never get a drop of water and will die from too much heat and unfavourable environment,” she said.The Jubilee politician argued that Uhuru deserves another term in office because he is development oriented. She said Uhuru cares about Kenyans and pointed out maternal health care among other projects the Jubilee regime has initiated since taking over power in 2013. The rally was attended by several Jubilee leaders including MPs Peter Kamande (Maragwa), Nelson Ributhi (Subukia), Stanley Muthama (Lamu West MP) and Omingo Magara who unsuccessfully contested for the Kisii senator position.
