[Photo|PSCU]A section of leaders from the Abagusii community, now allege that Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, is an Opposition project. This is after the Jubilee lawmaker filed a petition before the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) seeking for the removal of Chief Justice David Maraga after he, alongside other Supreme Court judges nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta's August 8 re-election.The leaders, allied to Kenyatta, claimed Ngunjiri was being used by the NASA, and was presidential candidate Raila Odinga's project, since he at one point, collected signatures that saw Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto taken to the International Criminal Court (ICC).Led by Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi the leaders campaigned for Uhuru, saying he would retain his seat due to his development projects."We want to assure the president that we are going to do our best to ensure he scores more in the region. We are calling on residents in Kisii to turn up in large numbers on October 17 to vote for Uhuru," said Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i.Also present were Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri nd former MPs Zebedeo Opore, Hezron Manduku and Reuben Oyondi, during a burial ceremony at Kiongongi village in Bobasi constituency, Friday. They spoke during the burial of mother to former MP Stephen Manoti.
