Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichubng'wa. He believes NASA is not ready for elections just as they were before the August polls. (twitter.com)Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa has accused NASA of trying to abscond the presidential elections as instructed by the Supreme Court.
According to Ichung'wa, NASA has begun their fight against IEBC just as they did before the August polls in the country. In his view, Ichung'wa believes NASA is out t seek a 'nusu mkate' government by eating into the 60-day timeline and creating a constitutional crisis in the country.
"NASA has started their rhetoric against the IEBC just as they did before the against polls. What they want is a nusu mkate government by eating into the 60 days set in the constitution and hence calling for a transitional government come November. This is something we will not accept," said Ichung'wa.
Ichung'wa further reiterated that it was alright for the president to criticize the Judiciary which he believes has cartels influencing its operations by using corrupt means.
"The president was right to criticize the Judiciary since it is being influenced a cartel of corrupt individuals. In fact, we will review the Judiciary to weed out these cartels," added Ichung'wa.
The MP made the remarks on Sunday during an interview on Radio Maisha where he affirmed that the Jubilee party will carry the day in the forthcoming presidential elections.
