Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa has pledged to construct the remaining part of Musa Gitau PCEA Church in Kikuyu town after the congregation expressed challenges they have undergone even after a fundraiser was called on last year.
Ichung’wa who was speaking on Sunday where he participated in the laying of a foundation stone for a new ultramodern sanctuary at the church which is still under construction, pledged to offer them with building materials and some funds to ensure they finish the ongoing construction.
He said that most development projects in the area have been supported by believers in the area based churches, a reason he said made him to be very ready to support and work with them to develop the Constituency to a higher level.
Ichung’wa called on church leaders to unite the constituents for them to achieve their goals as a whole constituency.
He also called on believers to be praying for him claiming that he is fighting bigger battles with some prominent people who have been disrupting him from his works.
He however said that he will not be shaken by anyone as he has full support of his constituents and that they have enabled him to work in a better environment.
