Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa has said Jubilee leaders are not ready to continue engaging the opposition over the current political situation in the country.
Speaking to the Star, Ichungwa said that the Jubilee will let the police deal with National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders and supporters once President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are sworn-in.
He also said the party is waiting for the Supreme Court to decide the fate of the president-elect.
"After swearing in President Uhuru Kenyatta, life will go on and we will let the police do their work," Ichung'wa said.
He added that the party is focusing on matters of development after Uhuru's re-election.
"As Jubilee, our focus remains on national development, cohesion and delivering on the promises," Ichung'wa said.
The remarks come at a time when leaders of the opposition have maintained they will not allow President Uhuru to continue with his second term in office.
NASA has since transformed the alliance into a resistance movement. The move has continued to attract mixed reactions from different factions.
