ODM leader Raila Odinga does not have audacity to question Deputy President William Ruto's political maneuvers, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa has declared.
At Bondo on Saturday, Raila told off Ruto's now popularly known as Tanga Tanga movement, insisting that it could sabotage President Uhuru Kenyatta's agenda.
"We should not be campaigning at the time when service delivery is needed by our people. Those loitering around should stop 2022 campaigns," Raila said.
Lately, the 'Tanga Tanga' caucus has been pushing for Ruto's 2022 presidential bid , a move that has not gone well with Raila.
And at St. Benedict Church in Thika on Sunday, Ichungwa, a second term MP, slammed Raila's latest jibe on Ruto adding that the latter is free to campaign.
"Let me tell him (Raila) that only two people have a right to question where the DP goes. God, because he (Ruto) is a prayerful person and Rachael Ruto. Raila should know that Ruto isn't his wife," he said.
From the vast Mt. Kenya region, Ichungwa has been leading pro-Ruto campaigns along with Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu.
But a section of leaders, particularly Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, have publicly opposed the DP.
