Budalangi MP Namwamba and his ally Dr Otuoma resigned from their ODM positions as secretary general and vice chairperson respectively.

Ichung’wa who spoke in Kikuyu said that Jubilee has opened their doors for the leaders to join so that they can move the nation to the next level. He said that the accusations from Namwamba that ODM had locked them from their freedom is a clear indication that the party has no democracy and development.

“A party loosing senior party officials shows how the party is not well governed and as Jubilee we want to welcome Namwamba and Otuoma to Jubilee, a party that is free and open to all so that we can move the country forward,” said Ichung’wa.

He said that ODM has failed to govern is own party hence they can’t govern a nation. He added that Jubilee has gained popularity in Cord’s strongholds and that they are confident that they are going to convince voters to vote for Jubilee.

The MP said that Jubilee has now gained ground in the western region which was a stronghold for Cord in 2013 and therefore urged the two MPs to join jubilee and urged the western block to support the government for development.
