ICT CS Joe Mucheru has informed varsity students of government initiatives aimed at bettering the welfare of youths.
while speaking at Maseno University in millennium complex hall Mucheru told students of the current initiatives that the government has put in place which includes studio mashinani situated in Kisumu and Ajira platform that consists of online jobs.
The students who were attending a technology empowerment talk on Wednesday were informed of training programs that the government has initiated of linking youths in the ICT industry with mentors who have passed through the same road.
"We can quickly become a developed country with the help of our youths, considering approximately 2 billion people in the world are on the internet and the larger percentage consists of the youths," he said.
Also present were PS telecommunications, Sammy Itemere, PS Arts and culture Joe Okudo, Director events at state house Big Ted and Director administration ICT Henry Mungasia.
