Two people have were on Tuesday morning arrested in Likoni area, Mombasa, for allegedly buying IDs from voters.

Jeremiah Musundia and Athman Wafisi were held at Ushindi Baptist polling station.

Likoni DCI Henry Ndombi while confirming the incident said that residents alerted police after noticing suspicious characters with several IDs.

"Upon searching the suspects, six IDs were recovered."

The DCI said the two were taken to the regional police headquarters and investigations launched.
