Nyamira Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo has said he would rather quit politics than defect from the ODM to join the newly launched Jubilee Party.Speaking to journalists in his office on Thursday, Nyaribo cited the various scandals as well as the huge government borrowing by the Jubilee administration saying they have impoverished Kenyans."We are told that every Kenyan owes the government, while people keep pocketing the little meant for development such as NYS, Eurobond, and many more scandals," said Nyaribo.Nyaribo also revealed that he is in the race for the county governorship currently being held by Governor John Nyagarama.West Mugirango MP James Gesami has also declared an interest in the county's top seat. The DG said he is certain of winning the ODM grassroots nominations to acquire a ticket which will enable him to vie for the Nyamira governorship seat. "The party has assured us of fair and free nominations and I am convinced it will give the delegates their right to chose their candidate of choice and ODM will take the day,"said Nyaribo.
