Ida Odinga, wife to the National Super Alliance (NASA) principal Raila Odinga, has disclosed why she missed the much hyped swearing-in of her husband.
Raila was sworn-in as the 'People's President' on Tuesday January 30, 2018 in the absence of his family and his other three co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.
Speaking to the Standard on Wednesday morning, Ida said that she had family emergency issue concerning her daughter to respond to on that day.
She however didn't disclose much about her daughters condition.
The former prime minister's wife added that although she was not physically at Uhuru Park with her husband, she was with him in spirit.
"I was not physically present at Uhuru Park but I was with them in spirit," said Ida.
"I think the whole exercise was done in an expeditious manner, with tension here and there. They had my moral support," she added.
