The identity of a woman who stole a baby at Kenyatta National Hospital has been identified.

Ms Edna, who lives in Kawangware area was arrested by police officers on Tuesday afternoon after an alarm was raised by her neighbours.

Speaking to Hivisasa on phone yesterday Mr Job Ouko could not hide his joy as he explained how he got the information.

"At first I thought the people speaking to me were joking but when they insisted, I alerted the police who acted quickly and we went to the house. I was pleased to find my son; Prince doing well," said Mr Ouko. 

Currently, Mr Ouko is a happy man as the son he gave out on Sunday night unknowingly that he might dissapear was handed back to him two days later. 

His wife, Jane Leo from her hospital bed could not hide the fact that her baby had been found. 

"I will never forget this day, it remains the best day in my life. I thank God for everything," she said. 

Ms Edna the suspect who stole the baby is currently held at Muthangari police station.

Defending herself, Ms Edna said that she took away the baby because she lost her's three weeks ago at KNH. 

On Tuesday twitter went viral with Kenyans demanding that the baby is taken back to his mother.
