A section of IDPs from Kisii and Nyamira counties have joined others in accusing the Cabinet secretary of devolution Mwangi Kiunjuri for choosing another coordinator for IDPs.
According to them, it was a big mistake for the Cabinet secretary to have another coordinator whom they don’t know during the thanksgiving prayers that were held in Nakuru on Saturday.
Addressing the press on Monday at a Kisii hotel IDPs led by their chairman Alfred Akama accused the Cs of having different people on the podium which are against their wish.
In addition, they said that Mr Peter Murioki who stood on Saturday at Nakuru claiming to be the coordinator of IDPs is unknown to them.
“We were shocked to find somebody whom we don’t Know saying that he is coordinating us, we want to be sincere that we don’t know him, so he is not our coordinator," said Akama.
“We want the Cabinet secretary to come out clear when who appointed Murioki to be our coordinator and when,” questioned Akama.
Lucy Manyara also echoed Akama’s sentiments by saying that they are tired with self-interested coordinators like the one the Cs brought on board.
