The head of state said that the integrated IDPs will soon be allocated land like others who were in camps.

But a group of integrated IDPs in Kisii want the resettlement done comprehensively.

The group of about 4,000 IDPs in Nyanza say they have never received government support 8 years since their lives were violently disrupted.

Speaking to the media in Kisii, they claimed they were duped to leave camps for accommodation by relatives only to be forgotten.

Some of the IDPs who bore marks of the violence lamented that they lived in poor conditions with their children being denied access to education.

The region's IDPs network coordinator Alfred Akama, however, warned the IDPs to be wary of selfish individuals who would want to misuse them.

He urged them to embrace unity and engage in income generating activities for self-sustenance.

Akama challenged the national government to eliminate the IDP tag through compensation and restoration.
