They said that the case has dragged on for more than one year.

Addressing the press in Nakuru on Tuesday, the IDPs claim that their case has never proceeded for hearing despite writing a formal complaint to Chief Justice David Maraga."Our case has never proceeded for hearing since 2016, we have been coming to the courts but the case is either pushed forward or the judge is absent, while we have been traveling long distances to take part," said John Mwaniki. The  more than 10,000 IDPs on March 27, 2017 had petitioned the court to lift orders barring the state from disbursing Sh6 billion set aside for their resettlement and compensation.
