Acting Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has said that IEBC has requested the ministry to provide enough security for various parts based on the level of need.
According to Mating’i, the minstry is in a position to provide security in all parts of the country during the August 8 polls.
“The plans we have...deployment, resources, assets and mapping...are all aimed at facilitating the IEBC to do its work,” Matiang’i said.
He spoke at Safari Park hotel in Nairobi after a closed-door meeting with foreign diplomats.
The meeting was meant to discuss the state of security ahead of the August 8 polls.
