Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has said that the electoral body should not be used by Jubilee for party nominations.
Speaking to KTN on Wednesday, Mudavadi said in the event that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision (IEBC), other political parties will not trust it to oversee the national polls.
“No party is permitted to use the IEBC to conduct party nominations. This will bring in a conflict of interes and we will not trust it to oversee the 2017 general election,” said Mudavadi.
He further said that President Kenyatta potrayed abuse of state house for conducting party affairs in highest office in Kenya.
“The President ought not to have used the state house to announce the merger plan. This is a public office and not a party office, added Mudavadi.
Yesterday, the president and his deputy held a meeting at State House where they hosted the members of the press towards the amalgamation of Jubilee affiliate parties.
