The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Issack Hassan has sued the Auditor General.
Hassan has accused the Auditor General of continuously mentioning his name negatively in regards to the procurement of the 2013 general election BVR kits.
The IEBC chair said the Auditor General has on several occasions presented a report implicating him negatively before the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee, despite being ordered by court to delete the section a year ago.
Hassan further accused the Auditor General of failing to clear his name by informing the House committee about the court order.
He now wants the Auditor General compelled to table a corrected version of the report before the committee, as well as explain why he failed to comply with the court order.
High Court Judge Isaac Lenaola has directed the auditor to respond to the petition.
The case will be mentioned on July 19, 2016.
