The IEBC select committee panel has re-advertised the position of chair after the shortlisted candidates failed to meet the required criteria.

The advertisement was placed in local dailies on Saturday.

It was discovered that the anti-graft body had failed to clear the five shortlisted candidates, these were David Mukii, Roseline Odhiambo, John Kangu, Margaret Wambui, David Kiprop.

The select panel was consyituted after the previous commission was disbanbded following months of protests by the opposition led by the Cord.

Concerns have been raised over the timeframe of constituing a new commission considering the next general polls are fast approaching.
