Independent electoral and boundaries commission IEBC in Machakos County has cleared seven candidates to vie for Machakos Women representative seat in August eighth polls.
The seven are Machakos Senator’s estranged wife Agnes Kavindu Muthama who is vying on a Jubilee ticket, the Incumbent Dr Susan Musyoka of Independent candidate and Chama Cha Uzalendo’s Jane Ndeti.’
The County Election Manager Ms Joyce Wamalwa urged all the candidates to ensure discipline and be peace ambassadors during the electioneering period.
Others who were cleared are Benta Ayango Maura of Angano party, Independent candidate Rita Ndunge Ndunda, Maendeleo chap Chap’s Francisca Mutinda and Joyce Kamene Kasimbi of Wiper Democratic Movement party and Jane Ndeti vying with the CCU ticket.
The incumbent Dr Susan Musyoka was floored during party primaries by Ms Kasimbi and has vowed to recapture her seat through thick and thin.
